OUR OBJECTIVE

To design, assemble and commercialise an innovative, improved Concrete Road Saw for the Concrete Cutting Industry to alleviate or significantly reduce major issues currently faced by Owners and Operators.

WHY THE CONCRETE CUTTING INDUSTRY

Mr Irvine owned and operated a successful concrete cutting business in Queensland, Australia for 24 years.  Whilst working in the Concrete Cutting Industry, he, like other owners & operators, endeavored to manage several major issues that are an ongoing problem for the industry.  In particular:

1.  Slurry clean up.

2.  Airborne Exposure - Health related issues due to inhalation of      concrete dust & other harmful particles to operators and bystanders; (Concrete dust contains 30% silica); and

3.  Manual Handling Risks associated with moving, lifting and turning concrete cutting road saws particularly when large blades are required to be fitted.

IDEAS BECOME REALITY

SLURRY RECYCLING GUARD

In 2010, Mr Irvine sold his concrete cutting business and began redesigning and manufacturing the "Slurry Recycling Guard" in an early attempt to address the issue of Slurry clean up.  His "Slurry Recycling Guard" innovation placed him as a finalist in the 2011 Australian Innovation Challenge.

CLEANCUT ROAD SAWS

In May 2015, Mr. Irvine received an Accelerating Commercialisation Grant from the Australian Government's Department of Industry and Science. This grant supported the design, assembly, and commercialization of two innovative large walk-behind road saws, the Cleancut 7500HT4 and the Cleancut 6500DT2. These saws feature the Slurry Recycling Guard and other substantial enhancements, complying with International Work Health & Safety Lifting Guidelines.

The development of these prototype models, together with two additional prototype machines, has brought us to a stage where we are confident in producing a road saw that meets industry expectations. A 48HP Road Saw featuring a slurry recycling guard, hydraulic motors, reduced weight, enhanced maneuverability, and the innovative "track" design is poised to make a significant impact.
